Humble Beginnings: Nubian Heritage is the brainchild of two New York street vendors. In 1992, fresh out of college and without jobs, Rich and Nyema embarked on a mission to produce luxurious products from traditional African recipes. Today Nubian Heritage offers culturally authentic products infused with naturally-derived ingredients inspired by global ancient philosophies. Although Nubian Heritage products are no longer made in bath tubs, little else has changed. We still make our own products, using fair trade shea butter along with other globally-sourced ingredients.
Heritage: Buriti Oil is made from the fruit of Moriche Palm, known as the "tree of life," because of its importance in the Amazonian diet. Emphasizing the hand cream's brightening properties, our package symbolizes happiness. The pattern is representative of Thailand's textile industry, which economically empowers countless communities and employs over one million individuals.
