Whey Protein Concentrate (WheyXR™)

It uses advanced advanced protein polymerisation technology, doubling the size of protein particles compared to regular whey proteins, it provides larger protein mass, which turns into robust protein gels when subjected to low pH in the stomach. These robust protein gels are less susceptible to enzymatic digestion, meaning the release of amino acids is extended. Simulated hydrolysis studies have shown that it is 47% less digested after six hours compared to regular whey. The slower digestion rate provides a more sustained supply of amino acids and makes it an ideal source of amino acids for post workout or night time recovery.
Whey protein is a fast digesting protein providing a burst of amino acids to stimulate muscle growth. Following this initial surge of amino acids which takes place at approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour, the supply of amino acids are diminished over time. With WheyXR technology, the release time of amino acids is extended much greater than that of regular whey protein concentrate. Simulated hydrolysis studies have shown that WheyXR is 47% less digested after 6 hours than regular whey. WheyXR has a significantly slower rate of digestion compared to a regular whey protein concentrate (p<0.01).
